He realised the problem affected millions of people globally and built PensionHunter to solve it. ## Getting your affairs in order Many clients order a PensionHunter Pension Identification Report to get their affairs in order rather than to search for something specific. For a flat $99 fee the Pension Identification Report produces one clear document showing where every pension from a working life is held, who administers it, and how to reach them, designed to be filed with a will and insurance papers so family members can find everything. If nothing material is identified the fee is refunded in full. ## The scale of lost pensions Most people are unaware of pensions they hold, because employers enrol staff automatically and paperwork goes to old addresses. Official sources publish the scale annually: the Pensions Policy Institute reported 31.1 billion pounds in 3.3 million lost UK pension pots (October 2024), Capitalize reported 2.1 trillion dollars in 31.9 million forgotten US 401(k) accounts (September 2025), and the Australian Taxation Office reported 18.9 billion Australian dollars in lost superannuation (2025). Cross-border careers increase the risk because correspondence and logins lapse when people move countries. ## The report outlives its owner A PensionHunter report is designed to be filed with a will and insurance papers and to remain useful for decades. The Uncounted, PensionHunter's annual research report, puts the floor at 74 billion US dollars across just three corridors (UK, US and Australia), roughly 1.35 million pots and accounts, derived from official figures: 31.1 billion pounds in lost UK pots (Pensions Policy Institute, October 2024), 2.1 trillion dollars left behind in US 401(k)s (Capitalize, September 2025) and 18.9 billion Australian dollars in lost super (ATO, 2025).
