What Is CPF and Why Do Filipinos Miss Out?

The Central Provident Fund (CPF) is Singapore's mandatory savings scheme. All workers in Singapore, including foreign workers on employment passes and work permits, have CPF contributions made for them by their employers. When Filipino workers leave Singapore, these contributions often remain unclaimed because the withdrawal process requires specific documentation and formal application to the CPF Board. Many workers are unaware they have balances remaining, or find the withdrawal process too complex to navigate from overseas.

How We Search

PensionHunter identifies the CPF Board, SRS administrators, and individual employer pension schemes that hold your entitlements. We use your employment history, identification details and signed Information Request Authority to prepare a complete information request for each of them, written and ready for you to send. You send them, and we answer your questions about whatever comes back, so you don't have to navigate Singapore's administrative processes from abroad.

What Documents Do You Need?

You will need your full name as it appeared on your Singapore work permit or employment pass, your date of birth, your FIN (Foreign Identification Number) if you have it, and the names and approximate dates of your Singapore employers. If you don't have your FIN, we can still search using your other details.

What Happens After We Find Your Records?

We provide you with a detailed report showing every CPF balance, SRS account and pension entitlement we identify. The report includes provider contact details, estimated values and guidance on the withdrawal process. All decisions about your pension remain entirely yours, we provide the information, you decide what to do next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Foreign workers who have permanently left Singapore can apply to withdraw their CPF balances. The CPF Board requires proof that you have left Singapore permanently, your FIN, and bank account details for the transfer. PensionHunter identifies your balances, the withdrawal application is then made directly to the CPF Board.

We can still search using your passport details, employment history and personal information. Having your FIN makes the search faster, but it is not essential.

We report back within five working days of your intake form with a full summary of every entitlement we identify. Full refund if we find nothing material.
