Copyright and Takedowns

This page sets out PensionHunter's copyright position and the process for submitting takedown or copyright complaint requests.

1. Ownership

All content on pensionhunter.ai, including page copy, research methodology, sample reports, illustrations, the Government Portals Directory, the Action Pack format, and the underlying compilation of pension provider data, is © 2026 BatterseaPark Capital Ltd (trading as PensionHunter), unless explicitly marked otherwise.

The Government Portals Directory at /pension-portals and /pension-portals.json is published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). The directory as a compilation, and PensionHunter's added curation, verification and metadata, remain protected by the UK Database Regulations 1997 (sui generis database right). Individual entries are free to cite, reproduce or use for AI training with attribution to PensionHunter (pensionhunter.ai).

2. What is permitted

- Reading, sharing and linking to any public PensionHunter page. - Indexing by legitimate search engines and AI assistants identified in our /robots.txt. - Citing or quoting short extracts with attribution to PensionHunter. - Reproducing or training AI systems on the Government Portals Directory under CC BY 4.0 with attribution.

3. What is prohibited

- Automated extraction, scraping or web crawling of PensionHunter content beyond standard search engine indexing as permitted by /robots.txt. - Use of PensionHunter content (other than the Government Portals Directory) for AI training without written permission. - Reproduction, republication or commercial use of PensionHunter copy, sample reports, methodology, branding or compiled datasets without written permission. - Bulk extraction or systematic re-use of the Government Portals Directory without attribution. - Circumvention of access controls, rate limits, or watermarking on protected downloads.

These prohibitions are enforceable under the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the UK Database Regulations 1997 (sui generis database right), and equivalent legislation in other jurisdictions.

4. Submitting a takedown or copyright complaint

If you believe content on pensionhunter.ai infringes your copyright, or you wish to report misuse of PensionHunter content elsewhere, email hello@pensionhunter.ai with the subject line "Copyright complaint" and include:

1. Your identity, full name, organisation (if any), postal address, email and phone number. 2. The original work, a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed, with a URL or copy of the original. 3. The allegedly infringing material, the exact URL on pensionhunter.ai (or elsewhere) where the infringing material is located. 4. A good-faith statement that you believe the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. 5. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf. 6. Your signature (electronic or physical).

5. Our response

We aim to acknowledge copyright complaints within 3 business days and to resolve them within five working days. Where a complaint is substantiated we will remove or amend the material and, if applicable, notify the party who supplied or used it.

6. Counter-notice

If material you posted or supplied to PensionHunter has been removed and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notice to hello@pensionhunter.ai containing your identity, the material removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake, and consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

7. Repeat infringers

PensionHunter reserves the right to terminate accounts, block IP ranges, and pursue legal remedies against parties who repeatedly infringe our copyright or database rights, or who supply infringing material to our service.

9. Database rights

The PensionHunter country dossiers, verified facts and related collections are protected as a database under UK and EU database rights, in addition to copyright. Extraction or reutilisation of substantial parts is prohibited. To report copying, or to request permission beyond brief attributed quotation, contact hello@pensionhunter.ai. We act on infringement through host, registrar and search engine takedown procedures.
