Departure deadline checker
When does my deadline run out?
The lump sum withdrawal payment (dattai ichijikin) must be applied for within the statutory two year time limit after leaving the public pension system. A death pension is paid from the date of death only if it is applied for within 90 days of the death (180 days for children under 16). We add the period in our register row to the date you enter and show the official source with it.

We compute a date only where our deadline register row states both what starts the clock and how long it runs, and its source is quoted and confirmed. Dated clocks today: Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand. For other countries we show the rule and its source without a date. Identification only. We do not advise and we do not act for anyone. The official body decides whether a rule applies to a person and how it counts the days; check with it before relying on a date.

How the date is worked out
Each clock is one row of our deadline register. The row says what starts the clock and how long it runs; we add that period to your date and show the result next to the official wording, the source page and the date we read it. Months and years land on the same day of the month, or on the last day of a shorter month, so 31 January plus one month is the last day of February. Days and weeks are added one day at a time.
An authority may count the days its own way, for example whether the first or last day is included. It decides, so check with it before relying on a date.
