Pension question, Israel
Did my Israeli employer pay into a pension fund for me?
The occupational layer is separate: mandatory for employees since 1 January 2008, a combined 17.5 per cent of insured wage from 1 January 2014, held by a pension fund or insurer, not the state. The State Comptroller counted about 1.6 million inactive member accounts holding some NIS 59.7 billion in the five largest new funds in 2021.

Do you give advice on what to do?
No. We identify where a pension is likely held and the official route to it, and we name each source with the date we read it. We do not give financial, tax or legal advice.
