Pension questions by country, answered from the official source
We now answer the questions people search about a pension left in another country on 307 short pages, one question per page, listed on our pension questions page. Each page answers its question in its first two sentences, from an official source, with the date we read it. They cover United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Australia, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, United States, Switzerland, France, South Africa, Hong Kong, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, India, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Liechtenstein, Bulgaria, Iceland, Latvia, Romania, Austria, Portugal, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Israel and Slovenia, in English, Dutch, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Japanese and Korean. One of them asks: Can I get my UK State Pension if I live abroad?
How did we choose the questions?
From what people type. On 13 October 2026 we read search suggestions in English, Dutch, German and Spanish, forum thread titles and official guidance pages, and kept the questions that came back again and again. We cannot measure how often a question is searched, so we state no search volume.
Where do the answers come from?
From rows we already publish: our government pension portals directory and our Cross-Border Pension Deadline Register. A page never types a fact of its own. When a row changes, the page changes with it.
Why are some pages in Dutch, German or Spanish?
Our search evidence showed Dutch and Spanish questions asked in Dutch and Spanish, not in English. 100 of the pages are our own translations of an English page. Each one is pinned to the exact English fact it translates: when that fact changes, our build check fails until the translation is redone.
What do the pages not do?
They do not name a pension scheme, estimate an amount or tell you whether a pension exists in your name. Those questions belong to our free check, which reads your own work history, and to our paid report. We identify and research; we do not give advice.

AI can tell you what a pension is. It cannot tell you that you have one. It is genuinely good at explaining how a rule works, and if that is all you needed, you have saved yourself a fee.
Then ask it which scheme holds your money and who administers it today, and ask it for the source and the date it checked. Why that is where it ends
