Monthly data release

Each month we publish a citable release of our data: which of the countries we research have a social security agreement route recorded in our data, the deadlines in our register for each of them, and what changed that month. Every release has its own URL, CSV and JSON files, and a line on how to cite it. The full list of changes for each month is in our monthly data changes.

Summary

  • As of 14 October 2026, 33 of the 41 countries we research have at least one social security agreement route recorded in our data, each read on an official agreement list. For 23 of them, at least one route runs through a multilateral framework.
  • Our data records 389 agreement routes between those countries and 53 of the 98 other countries we have mapped, read on 51 official lists, one sourced row per route.
  • Our deadline register holds 495 dated obligations across 41 of the 41 countries, of 14 types, citing 352 official sources. 49 rows carry a fixed calendar date, and 10 of those dates fall after 14 October 2026.
  • In October 2026, through 14 October 2026, we recorded 884 dated changes to our public data, listed in full in what changed in October 2026.

Methodology

  • The release reads our data files as they stood on 14 October 2026, the last day of October 2026 our repository history covers, at commit 0cc2807. It reads the same tree as the monthly data changes for that month.
  • Treaty routes come from the agreement lists we read for each mapped country: the national institution's own list where we could read it, and the European Commission's list for EU social security coordination. Each route names the list and the date we read it. Where a list could not be read we record nothing, so a missing route is a gap in our reading, never a finding that no agreement exists.
  • A route is typed multilateral only where the list read is the list of a multilateral framework: EU social security coordination, the Ibero-American Multilateral Social Security Agreement, or the GCC extension of insurance protection. The United Kingdom's routes to EU countries on the European Commission's list are typed as the EU and UK protocol, because our mapped data records that link as the social security coordination protocol of the EU and UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement. Every other route is typed by the national list it was read on.
  • Deadlines are the rows of our deadline register for the countries we research, each with its official source and the date we checked it. Counts by type use the register's own labels.
  • What changed is the month's entries from our monthly data changes, dated by the day the change reached the main branch of our repository.
  • We identify and research. Nothing in this release is advice or a statement about any person's entitlement.
