Pension question, Australia
How do I find lost super from overseas?
To see what is held in your name you must sign in to ATO online services through myGov, and to link myGov to the ATO you must answer identity questions built from your Australian paperwork. The sign-in layer adds its own problem, since a text code needs an Australian mobile number.

Why do the identity questions fail for people who left?
Every one of those questions is time bounded. If you left Australia years ago and stopped filing you can answer none of them, and the ATO states that skipping all the questions counts as a failed attempt.

Do you give advice on what to do?
No. We identify where a pension is likely held and the official route to it, and we name each source with the date we read it. We do not give financial, tax or legal advice.
