Pension question, Austria
Do Austrian pensioners abroad need a life certificate?
Pensioners living outside Austria must submit a life certificate (Lebensbestätigung) to the Pensionsversicherung once every year, and it must arrive by mid-June. A pensioner living abroad must send a certified proof of life once a year, and the authority's own page sets the cut-off at mid-June: if it does not arrive, the pension payment is suspended.
