Pension question, Liechtenstein
What happens to my Liechtenstein pension fund money when I leave?
The money for a few years of salary sits in the second pillar: the BPVG obliges the employer to insure anyone whose relevant annual salary reaches the annual minimum AHV pension, about CHF 14,700, our arithmetic, and a leaver's balance moves to a vested benefits policy with a Liechtenstein insurer or a blocked bank account. The second pillar is worse: a leaver's balance sits with an insurer or a bank that no public source names, and the supervisor publishes nothing about individual members.
