Pension question, UK

How do I find an old UK pension?

Find pension contact details (Pension Tracing Service): Free government service providing contact details for lost workplace and personal pension schemes. gov.uk states you will not get your new State Pension automatically and have to apply for it, and that if you do not apply at State Pension age it defers automatically and you do not have to do anything.

What to do next

  1. List each UK employer by the name it had when you worked there, with the years.
  2. Note any pension provider names on old payslips or letters, even if the name has since changed.
  3. Run our free check, then order a report if you want us to identify where each pension is held now.
