Where the free route in Italy stops: Nothing arrives by itself. INPS states the old age pension is paid on request, and that its online services are reached with spid, cie or cns. Its own pages add a single exception: a PIN, issued only to citizens resident abroad who hold no Italian identity document. INPS does not state that a foreign national who worked in Italy and then left can obtain any of the four. The fallback, delegating a trusted person, must be registered at an INPS office, and registering it online requires the credential already missing.
