Pension question, Norway
Can I get my Norwegian pension if I live abroad?
Born 1963 or later, earned inntektspensjon is paid abroad regardless, but garantipensjon is kept only with at least 20 years' residence between 16 and 67. Separately, the guarantee pension is payable outside Norway only on at least 20 years of insurance time.

What about a move to another EEA or treaty country?
Separately on the same page: a move to another EEA country gives 'the same payment as if you lived in Norway' (stated exception: the ung ufør supplement is not exported); a move to a treaty country (Australia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Canada and Quebec, Chile, India, Israel, Montenegro, Serbia, UK, South Korea, Turkey, USA) is 'as a rule' without reduction.
Do you give advice on what to do?
No. We identify where a pension is likely held and the official route to it, and we name each source with the date we read it. We do not give financial, tax or legal advice.
