GPFR for pension funds: find the members you cannot reach

Find the members you cannot reach. Free to search, pay per confirmed match. Your member list never leaves your systems: you turn it into codes with our published method and send only the codes.

I run a pension fund or scheme

Each check will give a dated GPFR check record per member. The record will document a step a fund took to reach its member.

In the Netherlands, a GPFR check is an additional step in a fund's tracing policy, on top of the legally required BRP check. It never replaces the BRP check.

For the Irish State Pension, the free official route comes first: MyWelfare, run by the Department of Social Protection. For Irish schemes, GPFR is in development: it will let a scheme check the members it cannot reach against people who registered, and matching starts as funds join.

How matching works

  1. 1. Both sides register

People add themselves free. Funds check the members they cannot reach, as codes, without sending us a list.

  2. 2. A match is found and both say yes

We compare codes, never names. You and the fund each agree before anything is shared.

  3. 3. The fund pays its member

The fund confirms its own member and pays the pension. The fund pays us per confirmed match.

Once funds join, matching agents run around the clock: they compare the coded records on both sides, score every possible match and never see a readable name. A person at the fund confirms each match before anything is paid.

AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity can bring people and funds here through our connector, explain GPFR in 24 languages, and register a person who has read our consent text and said yes. The person always confirms the sign-up themselves, by email, and gives every yes to a fund themselves.

Questions

How can a pension fund find members it cannot reach?

Join GPFR. You turn your list of members you cannot reach into codes with our published method, and we compare them with the codes of people who registered. You hear about a possible match only after the member has said yes.

What does GPFR cost a fund?

Searching is free. A fund pays per confirmed match: only after both sides said yes and the fund has confirmed its own member.

Does our member list leave our systems?

No. Names and dates of birth become one-way codes in your systems, with the same published method people use on their side, and only the codes are sent, as a check. We do not keep your codes or your list: we keep the dated check record and any possible match.

Who confirms identity?

The fund does, through its own member verification. A match counts as confirmed, and is paid for, only when the fund confirms its member, and money only ever goes from the fund to its own member.

What is a GPFR check record?

Once funds join, each check a fund runs against GPFR will give a dated record per member: your own member reference, the date and time, the protocol version and the result. It will document a step a fund took to reach its member. It will carry no registrant data, and its record number can be confirmed as genuine on our verify page.

Is matching running yet?

Matching starts as funds join. For each fund it opens only once that fund's data processing agreement is signed.

  • We screen out fake and duplicate sign-ups. The pension fund confirms your identity before anything is paid, and money only ever goes from the fund to its own member.
  • The fund confirms your identity before anything is paid.
