Pension question, Mexico
How many contribution weeks do I need for an IMSS pension?
A pension needs 500 weeks of contribution if you first paid in before 1 July 1997, or 875 weeks in 2026 under the 1997 law, rising 25 weeks a year to 1,000 in 2031. Weeks insured in Spain or Canada can be totalised, but only to reach the 500.
