Pension question, Netherlands
What happens to my Dutch workplace pension after I leave?
Pension funds, insurers, premiepensioeninstellingen, employers and unions must have converted all existing pensions into the new Wet toekomst pensioenen system by 1 January 2028. The Dutch right to take part of a workplace pension as a one-off lump sum has been postponed and is now intended to enter into force on 1 January 2029.

Do you give advice on what to do?
No. We identify where a pension is likely held and the official route to it, and we name each source with the date we read it. We do not give financial, tax or legal advice.
