Pension question, Sweden

How do I apply for my Swedish pension from abroad?

The English application page, updated 17 July 2026, puts it plainly: you apply on the Agency's website with an e-ID approved in Sweden. Pensionsmyndigheten states that the Swedish pension is not paid automatically and cannot be applied for retroactively; payment runs from the month the application reaches the Agency, and an application may be lodged at the earliest one year before the withdrawal age.
